Student Positions
The AITC serves as a practical training ground for UA students interested in careers in international trade. Through its Research Assistant and undergraduate internship program, students work on real-life projects for Alabama companies. The Center trains over 50 students each year. Many of these students go on to diverse international jobs in government and industry here in the U.S. and abroad.
The Trade Center interviews candidates for Research Assistant and internship positions throughout the year. If you are interested, please stop by the Trade Center with a current resume, or email your resume to aitc@ua.edu. Interviews for the Spring semester are held after Thanksgiving, and interviews for the Summer and Fall semesters are held after Spring break.
If you would like more information, please call us. When applying, please specify your expected date of graduation and the semester in which you are interested (Fall, Spring, Summer).
ALL students must register at the UA Handshake website to apply for the internship. Undergraduate course credit is available with prior approval. Please consult your undergraduate catalog or contact your advisor. Culverhouse students must meet certain requirements for course credit.
